We all have that someone... that special person in our life that helps when things get hard. That mom-person you can turn to when you need advice on the kids, the job, the mother in law, school, etc. The rock in the family.

Sometimes that person has a bad day or has difficulty doing things... but you never notice. They make it look so easy.

And then sometimes that person has to deal with a struggle... and you know you want to help, but they seem to have it together...

Trust me, they don't have it together.

Here is a way to give back.

She is one of our own, a fellow nurse, a community member with kids in school; she could be your neighbor walking her dog down the sidewalk.

She is more than that, she's an ED nurse, so one of those people you only see on your worst day... The person with the kind eyes who holds your hand and makes you feel strong enough to get through the next few hours. Those kind eyes need a little help this Holiday Season. To anyone who does not know, Vanessa has been through the wringer for the last year now. Diagnosed with breast cancer last fall, she has had one set back after another with this struggle. Multiple surgeries, out of work, complications... she has been so strong and resilient, such a remarkable woman and mother. She needs a little extra love, a little extra light, a little extra prayer. When medical bills add up, they back-funnel all the other expenses, and it takes quite a while to get out from under them. Our friend is still going through it, so lets help her along and make this Christmas truly magical for her, Liam and Harper. Let's dig deep and show this amazing woman how much love she has in the world rallying for her to get well and continue to give her love and light to the rest of us.
