Bring joy to the frontline workers!

I'm Elaine Frei, owner of LUFT BALLOONS - a company I was inspired to start in order to "bring the joy!" Because balloons make people happy. They just do.

Prior to the pandemic we made big, bold, balloon installations for events of all sizes and kinds, inside and out.  Obviously, the quarantine has heeded those types of events and installations.

But recently it occurred to me: this is exactly the time when we need to do an installation! We need to bring the joy, NOW, to our frontline workers at Chicago's hospitals. 

Here's the plan: create a big, bold, bright, joyfully-berserk balloon installation at the entrance of Loyola Medicine Hospital on April 28, 2020 and Illinois Masonic Hospital on April 30, 2020 to greet each frontline worker as they return every day to save lives.

If we can raise $1650, that covers a portion of both installations from a balloon perspective. But let's support the other local artists we've partnered with. Fingers crossed we can hire our amazing artist partners for BOTH installs with your generous donations. :) 

Every donor will be listed in a JOY MANIFESTO and presented to the hospital so the workers know who was involved in the installation because we can't make this happen without YOU. So $5 or $100, each donation is a visible reminder to the frontline workers that there is someone in their community who is thinking about what they are doing on the frontline. No amount is too little!!
