Hello friends, family, and kind neighbors,
I am reaching out today to ask for your support in a very specific and meaningful way. As many of you know, I am living with mixed dementia. While this journey has its challenges, I am determined to stay active, keep my body moving, and enjoy the fresh air as much as possible. In the past, I loved the freedom of riding a bike. However, because of how the disease affects my balance and coordination, riding a traditional two-wheeled bicycle is no longer safe for me. This has made it harder for me to get the exercise I need and, more importantly, harder to get out of the house and stay connected to the world around me. I have found that a three-wheeled adult tricycle would be the perfect solution. These bikes provide the stability I need to stay upright and safe, allowing me to pedal through the neighborhood, visit the park, and get the physical activity that is so vital for brain health and emotional well-being. Quality adaptive trikes are quite an investment—often costing significantly more than standard bikes due to their specialized design and safety features. My goal is to raise $1200 to cover the cost of a reliable, comfortable three-wheeled bike . Any contribution, no matter the size, brings me one pedal stroke closer to getting back outside. If you aren’t able to donate, simply sharing this page with your network would mean the world to me.
Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and for helping me stay on the move!
With gratitude,
Jessica
