Help Bring Jose Home to His Family
My husband, Jose Ortega, was recently detained by ICE and is currently being held in custody while we wait for his court proceedings. Our family is devastated, scared, and facing an overwhelming financial burden that we were not prepared for.
Jose is 38 years old and has been part of my life for over 13 years. This August will be our 10-year wedding anniversary together. Even more than that, he has been a loving and dedicated father figure to my daughter for the past 13 years. To her, he is simply Dad.
Three years ago, we moved from California to Phoenix, Arizona to build a better life for our family. We do not have family nearby, and during this incredibly difficult time, we are navigating everything alone.
Jose is one of the hardest-working people I know. He works for a bank and has always done everything he can to provide for our family and create a stable life for us. Anyone who knows him knows his heart, his kindness, and how deeply he cares for the people he loves.
Right now, we urgently need help covering legal expenses, attorney fees, and bond costs so we can fight for Jose and bring him home to us. Our goal is $5,000, and every donation — no matter how small — truly helps.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing our story and keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers during this painful and uncertain time.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, compassion, and kindness.
