Bring John to Lori: Urgent Help Needed
Donation protected

For those of you that have had the pleasure of meeting or knowing Lori over her 67 years, this is her current status.
On Tuesday 4/8/25, Lori went in for a carotid artery operation in her neck. She woke up from surgery excited to go home but was told that she had to stay in the hospital to be monitored. On Thursday 4/10, around 4am, she had a massive stroke which ended with severe brain bleeding. They did emergency surgery to stop the bleed though Lori has been left in a comatose state ever since. She has had no real movement or response for over 3 weeks other than occasionally squeezing someones hand. She was breathing on her own, but that quickly changed and a trach tube was placed to breathe for her. As a result of the trach procedure, Lori had massive bleeding from her throat and a blood transfusion was immediately needed. She has seemed to have taken a turn for the worse since then. Lori has one child, a 31 year old son, named John who lives in Wisconsin. He is the only person that is legally aloud to make medical decisions on Lori's behalf which he has been doing over the phone since this started because he is financially unable to make the trip from Wisconsin to Connecticut.
Our goals with this fundraiser are to give John the ability to be here by his mom's side to make better informed, medical decisions, and in the event that Lori declines further, to fulfill her end of life wishes with cremation and a celebration of her life.
