Bring Jikoni Toledo Back to Our Community

Donation protected
Jikoni Toledo Food Truck has been stolen and we as a community are heart broken. This is Tom and Krista Otieno, they own Jikoni Toledo Food Truck. Not only do these two serve our Northwest Ohio community, but they are my amazing neighbors who I call friends. Knowing how many people these two have touched over the years through church, community outreach, serving delicious East African food, and just being the nicest people you will come across, I felt the need to start this Gofundme page for them.

Tom spent several months building his dream on wheels, waiting patiently for all the permits, and feeding his country’s cuisine to anyone willing to try something new! Jikoni means kitchen in Swahili, and that’s why Tom and Krista proudly displayed “a gathering place for friends and family, everything is homemade and seasoned with love” on the food truck.

Because Tom built the food truck from nothing with his bare hands and the help of family and friends, insurance would only allow them to have liability.

With their family, friends, neighbors, regulars at Jikoni, and community, I know we can help them on the way to get back up, rolling, and bringing Jikoni back to the 419. Any little bit will help the Otieno family in this time of need.
