Hello Friends, Family, and Future Customers,
My name is Jennifer Panetta, I'm 33 years old and I have a goal! A goal of opening up one of the best tabletop gaming/hobby stores on Long Island, the little nub of NY. I fell in love with board gaming in college, and since then I have wanted to have a big part in sharing it with my community. I want people to see that board games aren't just Monopoly and Scrabble.
I currently run an online shop: Out of Play, which sells all sorts of board game goodies and other hobby stuff. I work with great vendors to provide a wide variety of products at my one-stop shop for all your gaming needs. But I am too ambitious to keep it a little guy on the internet.
I want to create a store that is also a community hub that hosts events that bring people together. I plan to have a play space with the ability to reserve tables for groups. For a fee, of course, to help support events at the store. While I plan to start small for events, sticking to board game nights and TCG nights, I eventually want to provide nights that cater to miniature painters, game makers, TTRPG campaigns, and other things like game drops and how-to-play nights for specific games.
As for what I'm going to sell, I'll be working with distribution centers like GTS, Southern Hobby, and Alliance Distributors, as well as brands like BaronOfDice, Pennysleevers, Legendary Wares, and other companies I have been partnering with to bring the best in tabletop gaming. Having a brick-and-mortar location will give me the ability to not only cut shipping costs for my online store but also provide a wider selection of products at a central location.
