Hello Friends,

My name is Jeff Mullinix. First, never in a million years did I dream that I'd ever be creating a GoFundMe page for myself.

As many of you may know, I moved from Columbus, Ohio to Washington state in July 2019 to serve as a pastor in the Pacific Northwest Conference of The United Methodist Church. In March 2025, I had to take an early retirement. Retiring before I was financially prepared was a big hit financially, leaving me with only a very small monthly pension. Over the past several months, I have been searching for jobs in the Seattle area with no luck.

In early August 2025, I learned that my 9-year marriage was ending. This has been devastating. Needless to say, these events have hit me hard financially.

Without a job and the high cost of living in the Pacific Northwest, my desire is to return back to Ohio where I have family and friends who offer a stronger support system as well as better job opportunities.

Unfortunately, I was not financially prepared for a move at this time.

UPDATE: I am leaving for Ohio on September 29. I have been humbled by the donations I have received thus far. Those of you who have donated, sent messages of support and prayers, have blessed me beyond measure. With about 1 month before the move I am only about 1/2 way to my goal of $9000.

I have swallowed a lot of pride to reach out and ask for help. However, I've also been blessed by all of you. Anything will help. If you can't help, I simply ask for your prayers and positive thoughts as I try to navigate this difficult chapter in my life.

I know that I may never be able to repay all of you. But when I am able, I will pay it forward to someone else in need.
