Support for travel expenses to return a kidnapped child.
On Sept 9th, Indica went missing from her home. She was kidnapped in the middle of the night from her home in California by her non-custodial parent, who was running from warrants for violent behavior and sexual abuse. After enduring physical, emotional and psychological trauma and being driven across state lines by her kidnapper, they were pulled over in Utah, and Indica was located by the authorities the taken into state custody. Her kidnapper, Jeramy Cigich, was arrested for his warrants and is being extradited to Missouri to face his charges.
The family has been undergoing a court dispute to verify maternity. This has been a time consuming process due to the required DNA testing to confirm that the undocumented child DOES, in fact, belong to her mother Toni.
The family has spent the last 2 weeks in Utah to attend court hearings and provide any and all documentation to try to get Indica out of state custody and back home with her mom, step-dad, siblings, and unborn twin baby brothers! The process has been extremely stressful and financially burdensome, requiring them to miss work.
The family had to make the difficult decision to return home to California until the next court hearing, in which they hope to bring Indica home.
We are asking for financial donations to cover the cost of travel expenses, lodging, care items, food, and extensive therapy that will be required to help Indica readjust to her life after the trauma she experienced.
