My dad, Horacio, is an exemplary individual who has always worked tirelessly to provide for our family. Everything he does comes from love, he truly gives his whole heart to us. He puts his family first no matter what, and we feel that every single day.
He doesn’t just show that love at home, he brings that same care and dedication to his job and his friends. Even when he’s exhausted, he keeps pushing forward because of how much he cares and how much he loves what he does. That’s the kind of father, worker, and friend he is.
He was taken on Friday, April 24th around 2–3 in the afternoon, and is now being held by ICE. It’s incredibly painful to know he’s there and that we can’t bring him home. As his daughter, it’s one of the hardest feelings in the world knowing there’s only so much I can do.
My dad has been here for nearly 10 years. We applied for asylum just six months after arriving, and his case is still pending. He has been here legally, building a life, working hard, and supporting his family.
No one deserves to be treated this way, to be taken from their family and held in these conditions. It’s heartbreaking, and it’s something no family should ever have to go through.
That’s why we’re asking for your help. We need support to cover legal fees, including his bond, so he has a chance to come back home to us. If you’re able to donate, share, or even just keep us in your thoughts, it would mean everything to our family.

Mi papá, Horacio, es una persona ejemplar que siempre ha trabajado incansablemente para proveer para nuestra familia. Todo lo que hace nace del amor; realmente nos entrega su corazón por completo. Siempre pone a su familia primero, pase lo que pase, y lo sentimos todos los días.
No solo demuestra ese amor en casa, sino que también lleva ese mismo cuidado y dedicación a su trabajo y a sus amistades. Incluso cuando está agotado, sigue adelante por cuánto le importa y por el amor que siente por lo que hace. Ese es el tipo de padre, trabajador y amigo que es.
Fue detenido el viernes 24 de abril alrededor de las 2–3 de la tarde, y ahora está bajo custodia de ICE. Es increíblemente doloroso saber que está allí y que no podemos traerlo de vuelta a casa. Como su hija, es uno de los sentimientos más difíciles del mundo saber que hay tan poco que puedo hacer.
Mi papá ha estado aquí por casi 10 años. Solicitamos asilo apenas seis meses después de llegar, y su caso aún sigue pendiente. Ha estado aquí legalmente, construyendo una vida, trabajando duro y apoyando a su familia.
Nadie merece ser tratado de esta manera, ser separado de su familia y retenido en estas condiciones. Es desgarrador, y es algo que ninguna familia debería tener que vivir.
