The recent flooding in Wheeling, WV has brought devastating destruction and heartbreak to the community where I was born, and where I still have family.
My best friend, Robin Galik, is married to the principal at Bridge Street Middle School in Wheeling. There are a dozen families whose children attend the school who have lost EVERYTHING. No clothing, no utilities— no home to call their own any longer.
On Thursday, Jake plans to visit each of the families— to deliver supplies, gift cards, and hopefully a little bit of comfort during this overwhelming time.
