Hi everyone! This is Steven. He's 8 years old. I'm not good at this but tragedy has struck our family and he's had the toughest year ever! His mother, Lawren and I was told his bone marrow wasn't working on February 3rd when he was complaining about pains in his side. He needed to have his appendix removed and then has been diagnosed with AL Leukemia and EBV. Our family is diving head first into it but we're asking for help from the community. Prayers for this little man. He's a warrior but he needs your assistance. We have so many expenses because we have to travel many hours away from home to get treatment for him. He's starting chemotherapy tomorrow and will be in the hospital for at least 9 days plus we'll have to come back every week for the next few months. If you can find it in your heart to help my son, my family, my blood, it would be greatly appreciated in so many ways! Thank you all so much for everything you've done so far!
Update on Steven. He is now 6 months into treatment. He's starting Delayed Intensification this week meaning his treatment will be a lot harsher on the cancer for the next several weeks. We are fighting a lot of battles right now and desperately need help with finances for him. I recently had to put new tires and brakes on my car, the only way we have to travel from Louisiana to Mississippi and back again. My payments are behind due to missing work a few times and not getting paid. He was recently hospitalized for over 30 days and those travel expenses have maxed out my credit cards and caused negative balances on my bank account. I'm very very desperate. Please help our son. God knows we truly need prayers and assistance.
Update on Steven! His BCBS insurance will be cancelled because Lawren is unable to work due to his treatments. They offered COBRA for $1400 a month but who can afford that?? Steven has Medicaid but can only get prescriptions in Mississippi and that means going back to Jackson. He just went through Delayed Intensification and had two 4 day treatments in a row.
