Hello everyone,

My name is Masille, and since the recent hurricane, I’ve been overwhelmed with thoughts about how to help my family back home in Jamaica. I have family in Falmouth, Lucea, Anchovey, Salt Marsh, and Montego Bay that are in dire need. I know times are tough for many, but I feel compelled to do what I can for my loved ones who were affected by Hurricane Melissa.

The storm brought devastating winds and flooding that destroyed homes, damaged roads, and left communities without food, electricity, and clean water. My family was not spared, each of them suffered damage or loss in some way. Some lost roofs and belongings, and their entire homes. Now, they’re focused on finding safe shelter, replacing essentials, and beginning the long process of rebuilding.

I’m raising funds to help them recover and meet their most urgent needs, including:

• Temporary shelter and home repairs

• Food, clean water, and clothing

• Medical and emergency supplies and any other essential items.
