Hi Everyone,

I am starting this fundraiser with a childhood friend, Dandy, to help our hometown, La Carlota City in Negros Occidental, Philippines which was one of the areas severely devastated by Typhoon Kalmaegi (local name "Tino"). The storm brought days of torrential rain that caused massive flooding, destroying homes, crops, schools, and community structures. Many families are now left with nothing- no food, dry clothes, or safe shelter to return to.

While we are far from home, our heart remains with the people we grew up with- friends, neighbors, families who are now struggling to rebuild their lives from the devastation. The need is overwhelming, and the resources are limited. That's why we are reaching out for your support.

All proceeds from this GoFundMe will go directly towards immediate relief, purchase additional supplies and assist local rescue and relief operations, and if funds will allow it, some rebuilding efforts, in La Carlota City through two trusted channels:

2. Our DHSBNHS Batch '93 and Batch '92- who will organize and coordinate relief efforts to our batchmates who were hardly hit.

Every dollar you give will go straight to the ground- no administrative overhead, no middlemen. I will personally coordinate with these groups to ensure full transparency and accountability.

This cause is deeply personal to us. La Carlota is where we grew up- a small, close-knit community known for its warmth, kindness and resilience. Seeing the devastation has been heartbreaking, but we know the spirit of the people there remains strong.
