I'm reaching out to our extended Publix family, and to any friends and family who wish to share on behalf of my co-worker Jeannine Gopel Lofstedt and her son Nicholas.

Jeannine and Nick are both long time employees of Publix, and have suffered incredible loss this year. Jeannine's veteran husband, Nick's father passed away 6 months ago, and tragically her daughter Tiffany passed away just before Thanksgiving.

Needless to say the emotional toll has been devastating for them both. Add to that Jeannine's past battle with cancer, as she's still on medication to stave off this disease. Financially, the losses have also been devastating. Being part-time, they've missed days of work with no pay. Remarkably, they were back at work just days after their recent loss with no time to grieve. Bills have no feelings, unfortunately. They share a car, coordinating their schedules between 2 different Publix locations, which has seen it's share of troubles.

My wish is to make a Christmas miracle happen for them, and bring them some peace and comfort approaching the New Year, as they lay Tiffany to rest with her Father Erik.
