My name is Dyaina Salmon-Bernard, and I’m from Montego Bay, St. James, Jamaica. Seeing the heartbreaking destruction caused by Hurricane Melissa has left me deeply saddened. Many families have lost everything — their homes, belongings, and sense of security.
Though my family and I now live in the United States, Jamaica will always be home. We cannot stand by while our people suffer. That’s why we’ve created this fundraiser — to send essential relief supplies such as food, water, clothing, hygiene products, and other necessities to those most in need.
The funds raised will go directly toward buying and shipping goods to Jamaica to help families and communities rebuild and recover.
Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference. Please consider giving what you can and sharing this campaign with others. Together, we can help Montego Bay — and all of Jamaica — find strength and hope again.
