Hi, I'm Elham. I have two daughters, ages 3 and 4. I would like to talk to you about my suffering and the suffering of my children since the beginning of the war, from October 7 until today. We spent the first week in Gaza, so this period was completely targeted for us because of the bombing that was all around us. Then we were displaced on October 13 to southern Gaza, specifically Khan Yunis, inside an UNRWA facility. For three months, we slept with a large number of people, up to 15 people, in a space no more than 3 square meters, all of us on no supports or cloth. Which makes it easier for us to use children to sleep without anything, without frequent or frequent trips to the bathroom, than to crawl into the bathroom door. We waited to disable it
We also suffered from a lack of meat, chicken, and everything needed for children’s health, which included canned goods. Our children suffered from a lack of milk and eggs. We also suffered from high prices for everything needed, including diapers and milk for children, with the price of diapers ranging from 50 to 70 dollars. We were also subjected to a two-week siege in the place, even though it belonged to UNRWA. The occupation army bombed the place and fired live bullets at the place, then the place was evacuated.
Then we were displaced to the central area in Al-Zawaida specifically, and until now the bombing continues and we suffer from a lack of water and electricity and the lack of use of the Internet. We walk long distances under the sun until we can use it at a high price. In fact, we suffer a lot from high prices and there are none of the necessities of life and there is no source of income for us. We also suffer. From the presence of insects in tents and the hot sun.
Until now, the army is still bombing the areas near where we are in Al-Dhawayda. Our children are dying for fear of the loud noises and the clashes day and night. When we get sick and our children get sick, we have no treatment, no medicines, and no hospitals. We suffer from skin allergies and toothache, and the sun’s rays cause us skin burns
We also suffer from transportation and its high cost. We have come to ride a donkey-drawn cart and put vegetable oil in their cars because they lose fuel and gasoline, and this is what pollutes the air. Also, using firewood to cook food due to the lack of gas causes us cancer, asthma, and difficulty breathing in children.
I ask you to donate to help my children survive war and fear and bring back the smile, hope and positive spirit as they were before the war. We hope you all help us.
Thank you
