Our Mission

Hi, I’m Mary Skyler — a mom, author, and believer who has seen firsthand how God answers prayer and writes redemption stories through adoption, faith, and love. I’m launching a new ministry called Set Apart Kids, and I need your help to bring this vision to life.

Set Apart Kids exists to share the love of Jesus with children and families through gospel-centered stories, prayer resources, and faith-based outreach — especially for foster and adoptive families who need hope.

This mission begins with two powerful children’s books inspired by real answered prayers and God’s promises:

The Projects You’ll Help Fund

1. A Superhero in Training ‍♂️

A heartwarming story told from the perspective of an adoptive mom to her foster/adopted child — reminding every child that they are chosen, loved, and rescued by the ultimate Hero, Jesus.

This book helps kids see their true identity in Christ and gives families a way to talk about adoption and faith.

2. Hannah’s Gift

A gentle, faith-filled story inspired by 1 Samuel 1:27–28 — and my own journey of answered prayer.

When Hannah prays for a puppy, God answers — and she learns that every gift is meant to be shared.

This book teaches children about selflessness, gratitude, and faith, reminding families that God’s blessings are meant to bless others.
