Bring Hope to Asheville: Winter Supplies Needed

Donation protected
Hi,
My name is Sean Fraser. My wife and I are both small business owners concerned with the devastation in Asheville, NC from Hurricane Helene.

Transporter Werks is teaming up with Galatea Boutique. We know families directly impacted by Hurricane Helene. Sadly, many have lost everything. Wintry weather is coming to Asheville, and many people are in need. There are many service industry workers out of work and have little hope of businesses reopening any time soon. There are also many families in remote areas that need help; many still do not have electricity or running water. We are working with a family that is doing whatever they can to help those in hard-hit areas.

On our last trip to Asheville, we hauled ten large water tanks that are now being set up to supply running water to homeowners that need them. We also hauled camping goods and a lot of donated winter clothing. We were happy to hear that they were not in need of more clothing, and we are not taking clothing donations at this time. Camping supplies like heaters, propane, log splitters, chainsaws, fuel cans, chainsaw oil, and donations to buy fuel are really needed. You can bring your donations to Raleigh at Galatea Boutique, 222 N Bloodworth St, Raleigh, NC 27604, or to Transporter Werks, 102 W Divine St, Dunn, NC 28334. Please contact us before dropping off.

How are the funds distributed?
We are using gift cards for fuel, Lowe's, or Home Depot gift cards for those that need materials, and cash gift cards for people that are out of work.
