I’m Shante. I’m residing in the U.S. I’m raising funds to help my friend Mohammad Osama. To save his families lives and reunite with them. They are in a deadly situation and have no choice but to be displaced again and leave their homeland and find refuge in Egypt. I will be sharing any updates to provide transparency and the funds will be distributed to Mohammad via PayPal! The funds will be used to evacuation of each person and basic necessities when they arrive to Egypt.

Here is Mohammad and his family’s story;

My name is Mohammad Osama. I survived 198 days of a genocide, I am currently displaced in Egypt. My family is in Gaza and they were displaced from the north to the south of the Gaza Strip. My family consists of 7 people, five of them are still in Gaza.

The trauma I carry makes it hard for me to eat and sleep, when I left Gaza it felt like I had died inside those walls. I was able to raise enough money to evacuate but I was forced to leave behind my mother, father, brothers and sister. I need your help to evacuate them from Gaza and reunite with them.

My family is living in unimaginable conditions in Gaza. Their makeshift tent, constructed from whatever materials they could find, stands precariously in the sand. They have no toilet, no access to clean water, and cook over an open fire due to the lack of gas. Often, they go days without food. These are not conditions fit for human survival.

My mother is 44 years old and diabetic and suffers with nerve issues which I fear may cause her to fall into a coma without proper treatment. My father, who is 49 years old, has high blood pressure which is difficult to treat due to the lack of medication available. My young brothers, Qusay (12) and Abdelrahman (7) dream of returning to school but there are currently no schools in Gaza. My sister, Malak (19) was supposed to be studying medicine but because of the war she is unable to continue her studies and now her university has been destroyed like all of the others by Israeli bombs.

The spread of disease and ongoing destruction in the Gaza Strip worsens their situation daily. My sister and brothers contracted Hepatitis A during Ramadan and finding any medication in Gaza is a constant struggle. We are raising funds to evacuate my family, secure temporary rent in Egypt, and cover their living expenses as they await evacuation.
