Dear friends and well-wishers,
I’m reaching out to ask for help on behalf of my beloved spiritual teacher, Swami Atulananda A. — a renounced pilgrim monk who has dedicated his life to the service of the Divine, sharing the timeless teachings of the Bhagavad Gītā and Bhakti yoga philosophy around the world.
Swami has lived in temples since the age of 20, dedicating his life to spiritual service. At age 60, he formally took vows as a sannyāsī (renunciate monk), never asking for anything for himself, but fully trusting that the Supreme will provide all that is needed as he serves others. He sustains his mission by publishing spiritual books and offering guidance to seekers globally.
During his recent pilgrimage and lecture tour in Italy, Swami Atulananda experienced serious exhaustion and went for a routine medical check-up. To our surprise, the doctors admitted him to the hospital in Rimini for further observation and testing.
Because he is on a tourist visa, the costs of his hospital stay and tests are not covered by the Italian health system. He is being charged full international rates, which are far beyond his modest budget.
On top of that, he had to cancel his original return flight to Santiago, Chile to remain under medical care, and now needs to purchase a new international ticket to return to his home temple as soon as he’s cleared by doctors (expected on Friday, August 8th).
By divine grace, Swami is optimistic that no further hospitalization will be needed. But the unexpected medical bills and new airfare are already overwhelming.
Any donation, big or small, is deeply appreciated. I’ve been Swami Atulananda’s disciple for over 30 years, and as a renounced female monk myself, I’m organizing this GoFundMe to lovingly support his return.
All donations will go directly to:
Hospital stay and test fees in Rimini, Italy
New one-way international ticket: Rome → Santiago de Chile
Swami Atulananda will be offering heartfelt prayers for the wellbeing of each person who donates.
Thank you for supporting a true spiritual servant in this moment of need.
May your generosity come back to you a thousandfold in peace, health, and divine blessings.
With love and gratitude,
Krishna-Bhakti G.
