I am a young gay man from the Middle East.

Since my childhood, I have felt injustice, loneliness, cruel treatment, hurtful words, psychological and physical abuse. The reason for this is the lack of community acceptance of homosexuality, which is a crime punishable by pain of murder or imprisonment.

After completing high school in my home country, I had the opportunity to complete my studies outside my country of birth. But here the situation did not change much. I do not feel safe.

And so I have decided to ask you for protection and assistance in order to live in a country where security, peace and stability give me my rights and encourages me to achieve all my scientific and practical ambitions.

At the end of our campaign, funds raised will be transferred from Quinte Rainbow Refuge to Capital Rainbow Refuge (Ottawa) who provides training and support for private refugee sponsorships.
