Bring him home honoring a beloved stepdad and papa

Hello, my name is Miranda and I am starting this now because I honestly didn’t know where to start and don’t like asking for help. My partner of 19 years passed in July and leaves behind 3 stepchildren that he raised and 2 grandchildren that are lost without him. He was the main provider for the past 16 years since I have been on SSD from 12 back surgeries, and about 3 years ago, he started to have some health issues of his own and depression that he couldn’t seem to beat. The last year was spent in a nursing home, and then his body just gave up.

My main goal is to bring his remains home and keep the roof over our head until we can sell the house. Our relationship struggled the last few years (it isn’t easy having two people being disabled); however, our children and grandchildren deserve to have him home and to keep his memory alive. He was an amazing stepdad and papa to our babies, and without the 19 years I had with him, I wouldn’t be the strong, independent person I am now. He helped so many people working in the medical field the last 33 years, so I want to honor him any way I can and make sure he is remembered.
