I’m a photographer, and over the past year I’ve started something that has deeply changed me. I’ve been going into senior living communities and photographing residents—people’s parents, grandparents, and loved ones. What I’ve found is that so many families don’t have recent, high-quality photos of the people who mean the most to them… until it’s almost too late. These sessions have become so much more than just photos. They’re conversations, connection, and moments of dignity. I’ve had residents come back for a second portrait because they loved their photos so much—and because their families did too.

I’m building Golden Age Portraits to create something meaningful: to give families beautiful, lasting images of their loved ones, and to preserve stories that deserve to be remembered. Right now, I’m asking for support so I can continue and expand this work. Your contributions will help me travel to more senior communities, upgrade equipment to create the highest-quality portraits, cover editing time and workflow tools, and continue offering these portrait days in a way that’s accessible to communities.

My long-term vision is to grow this into something even bigger—sharing the voices and wisdom of older generations through storytelling, a future podcast, and a coffee table book that celebrates their lives.
