HI I'm Gio. I'm 11 years old and I've been making films and art for years. Over the last 9 months, my mom and I have filmed more than 40 hours of footage for my first feature film, King Crumb.
King Crumb is a poetic cinéma vérité-style film about a boy searching for his musician father - a man known as "King Crumb", who has become almost a legend in the boy's mind.
The film travels across America, from Los Angeles to trains crossing the country to the streets of New York City. Along the way, it explores music, failed dreams, family, hope, and what it means to keep believing in someone.
We are raising funds to help complete the film through post-production, sound design, color correction, music, festival submissions, and final pick up shots.
Making an independent film at this scale without a studio has been a huge journey for us, and every contribution genuinely helps move the project forward.
This film has been built with heart, sacrifice, and belief from the very beginning. We've already come this far together, and now we hope to bring King Crumb across the finish line and share it with audiences everywhere.
Thank you for believing in independent art, young filmmakers, and stories made from the heart.
