Querida familia, amigos y comunidad:
Con el corazón destrozado, queremos compartir la dolorosa noticia del fallecimiento de nuestro querido hermano, hijo y amigo Gerardo Mejía. Su partida repentina ha dejado un vacío inmenso en nuestras vidas y un profundo dolor en todos los que tuvimos el privilegio de conocerlo.
Gerardo fue una persona llena de amor, alegría y generosidad. Siempre estuvo dispuesto a tender la mano a quien lo necesitara y a compartir una sonrisa aun en los momentos más difíciles. Hoy nos toca a nosotros devolverle un poco de lo mucho que él dio en vida.
Nuestro deseo más grande es poder llevarlo de regreso a San Vicente Boquerón, su tierra natal, para que descanse en paz junto a nuestra madre. Sin embargo, los gastos para el traslado y los servicios funerarios son muy elevados, y por eso recurrimos a ustedes con humildad.
Les pedimos, de todo corazón, que nos apoyen con una donación, por pequeña que sea. Cada aporte nos acerca más a cumplir el último deseo de Gerardo y darle la despedida que merece.

With broken hearts, we share the devastating news of the passing of our beloved brother, son, and friend, Gerardo Mejía. His sudden departure has left an immense void in our lives and deep sorrow in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Gerardo was a man full of love, joy, and generosity. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and to share a smile even in the hardest times. Today, it is our turn to give back a little of the kindness he so freely gave in life.
Our greatest wish is to bring him back to San Vicente Boquerón, his homeland, so he can rest in peace next to our mother. However, the costs of transportation and funeral services are very high, and for this reason, we humbly ask for your help.
