Hello my name is Melinda and I’m the Frenchie mom of Fiona. She’s the sweetest 2 1/2 year old Brindle Frenchie out there. She’s a bundle of joy and love for me, my family and friends. She steals your heart as soon as you meet her. She loves cuddles and gives tons of kisses. Her older sister, Bella is her mentor and teacher of all things “dog”. The two of them are super cute together as they enjoy their everyday adventures, go exploring out on walks and swims in the lake. She just got a new cute pink lifejacket this year. She loves to give love to everyone and needs to have her many years ahead to do so.

Fiona was hit by a car just last night and she’s in the animal hospital now. Her prognosis is good. The Initial X-rays show no broken bones but she has an abdominal hernia that’s significant and concerning. Her intestines are part of the hernia and there could be blood supply issues involved with that but her bladder is intact inside and she doesn’t have any blood in her urine. Right now, from her blood work, her kidney numbers are good. Her liver numbers not so much. They’re dangerously high. We currently have her on protectants to bring the numbers down and they seem to be working. At this point the doctors believe we need to have the hernia surgery ASAP to relieve the intestines and get her insides inside.

Her length of stay in the hospital is unknown right now but as you can imagine, surgery for our four legged loved ones is as expensive as us humans. I would appreciate any amount of generosity that I can get from donations to help with her hospital expenses and surgery expenses.

I have to be able to bring my baby girl home to her sister, her family and her friends. She has many more lives to touch and more people to love. She’s loved so much and just too precious to us all. Please help me.

UPDATE:

Fiona crossed the rainbow bridge this afternoon. She just wasn’t strong enough to go into surgery. She fought hard but her little body just couldn’t hold on any longer. She developed pneumonia and peacefully stopped breathing.
