Bring Eugene Home: Fight for a Father's Freedom

Imagine it’s the day after Christmas, you wake up and it’s a regular day. You get your kids fed and situated and then you go chill with your girlfriend across the hall while the kids play with their new toys in the hallway of the hotel you all live in. It’s not been an issue about them being in the hallway all day. You run out to pick up a few things for home some things for the kids now you can just relax and finally eat some leftover Christmas dinner and start watching the new season of Squid Games. Not even 10 minutes into the show you and your girlfriend hear yelling and a lot of commotion in the hallway only to find out that the big tall guy down the hall is yelling and threatening to harm your children. The same man that has walked into your room bothering you children 3 times prior to now. The same man who you’ve gone to the front desk and the owner of the hotel and made complaints about. You don’t think you go right into action as a protective father. You go to confront the man about continuing to harass your children and now threatening to harm them. Your only concern is the safety of your children. You try talking with the man to calm him down. He’s shouting threats of harming you he’s shouting about how “he has a gun and he’s not afraid to use it” to defend yourself you go grab your girlfriends firearm for protection but once you see that this man doesn’t actually have anything you go put the gun away. Now the police has been called on the other guy as hes still in the hallway causing trouble threatening the elderly woman and even took a swing at her. You relax a little thinking he’s going to be removed from the hotel but it’s you they take instead. All you we’re trying to do is protect yourself kids from harm. This man was not arrested or trespassed from the hotel that night. The owner later comes to tell him he has to leave and cannot stay at the hotel anymore hours after you’ve already been sitting in jail. You’re now facing 5-15 years in prison away from your kids. Kids you’ve been there for to raise and care for teach and guide and have loved since the day they were born. Feeling stuck with a public defender who’s trying to make an example out of you by forcing you to go to trial knowing it won’t be a winning battle because he separated the charges.

This is the story of what happened to Eugene Miller. We feel he was wrongfully arrested and are raising money to hire a lawyer to get him better help to bring him back home to his family. Eugene is a good man and an amazing father. We appreciate any help we receive Thank you and God Bless.
