Bring Eric Rose Back to Tennessee
Hello friends and family. My name is Eric Rose. I'm currently in a hospital in Ohio, and I'm trying to get back home to Tennessee. I recently had another bout with the odds stacked against me. I was in a 3 week induced coma, was in septic shock, had to be intubated and on a ventilator, and then had my trach tube ripped out by respiratory professionals a month before I was supposed to. Despite the doctors giving me a less than 30% chance to make it, I survived. Unfortunately, I did lose feeling from the thigh down on both legs and my right hand, with no reasons why. I need to have MRIs and other scans done, but I can't get those done while I'm a patient in this Ohio facility. Once I'm able to be discharged, if I can get back to Tennessee, Vanderbilt has agreed to see me and scan everything and HOPEFULLY bring some feeling back to my legs and hand. Problem is my health insurance won't cover the cost of transporting me, so I have to pay for it out of pocket. I don't have the $5000 it's going to cost for the trip. This was the last thing I wanted to do, but I'm out of ideas and I just want to be able to get home. I know these GoFundMes are annoying, but I have exhausted all other options.
