Help Bring Elizabeth & Kristen's Mom Home from the Hospital

Hello, my name is Elizabeth Madsen and my sister Kristen and I are trying to raise funds so that we can help make our home accessible so that our mom can come home from the hospital, and cover some bills that have stacked up in the weeks that she has been ill.

As you may not have known, the last month and a half has been extremely hard on my family. Our mom became suddenly and gravely ill at the end of January with sepsis and was touch and go for several weeks. We were very afraid that she would either die or loose her leg. One of us has been with her every day, for as long as the hospital would let us. Amazingly and thankfully, she has slowly improved, and moved from the hospital to a physical rehabilitation facility.

In the last few days she has made huge strides, and we are so happy that the doctors are talking about letting her come home soon! We're excited, but also in a horrible jam. Our house was built in the early 60's and it's just not accessible for the level of mobility she will have (neither wheelchair or walker). We are asking for help to raise funds to make some necessary renovations, buy home medical equipment, and help pay some of the bills that have built up. We've gone from a three income household to a one income household and it hurts.
