Hello! My name is Amber Weissert and I am a creative living in New York City. Two years ago I wrote a play to help me get through a dark time in my life. That play turned into one that reflected the female experience in patriarchal run society through the lense of the Greek Myth of Echo and Narcissus. Thus was born 'echo: a new play'.

In the summer of 2025 we were able to take 'echo' to The New York Theatre Festival. We were so honored to be nominated for 6 awards and took home the awards for Overall Best Production, and Best Director (Amber Weissert).

Now, we are so excited to announce we have been picked up by The Tank Presents in Midtown Manhattan, produced by Performance Check Productions. The production will take place in early December. While The Tank is very generous in their accommodations we are still running on a tight budget. That's where YOU come in. This GoFundMe is purely for the creatives involved in this show. Your donation will directly help pay our performers and designers bringing this project to life.
