8 year old Dominic Hammon is in need of your help. Dominic has alleged that he is the victim of severe abuse at the hands of someone he should be able to trust. Throughout the years, CPS has been involved in his life but local law technicalities and corruption have kept him from being able to be removed from his situation. For months, Shane, has been fighting to remove his son from an abusive home life. Dominic has been in Shane's care for the last 3 months safe and happy but Sadly, even with mountains of evidence of abuse and a legal, court appointed guardian ad litem telling the judge that Dominic is unsafe in his mothers home, the judge ruled to send Dominic back to his alleged abuser because his father is not listed on the birth certificate. A private paternity test proved Shane is the father but the judge chose to ignore that as it was not ordered by the court. Dominic collapsed begging not to send him back to his abuser at a court hearing. CPS agents in Kansas City and in Shane’s Home town of NJ have extensive documentation of the abuse. Kansas City Police were present to send Dominic back, despite him screaming out and pleading no. The police simply said “we see this everyday and we have a job to do”. Dominic is now with his abuser completely cut off from contact with his father who was arrested for being in contempt of court for refusing to hand Dominic over to someone who has a documented history of hurting him. He is stuck in Missouri until his court hearing from being out on bail. We cannot see another child die at the hands of poorly written laws, incompetent CPS workers, and the failure of this system. No child should have to grapple at the feet of a judge and beg them not to send them back to a nightmare of abuse. No child should be sent to a home where they’ve alleged to be locked in a room with no access to even a bathroom while his abuser films sexual content in the home. No child should be in the care of someone he alleges has beaten him so hard he cannot breathe.
