Do Not Engage is a quasi-found footage horror short that follows Blair and Nina, two friends whose curiosity gets the best of them — with deadly consequences.

When they stumble across a strange TV in an abandoned building, they take it home, unaware they’ve brought something else with it. Something that watches. Something that waits. Something that feeds off fear. Told through a stylized blend of CCTV, title cards, and traditional cinematography — all wrapped in the eerie format of a retro emergency broadcast — this film builds dread in ways both nostalgic and nightmarish.

This isn't just another horror short. It’s a warning: some things are better left unknown.

Who’s Behind the Fear?

Do Not Engage is written and directed by Quinn, a horror fanatic, SFX artist, and BFA graduate from Emerson College. Quinn has written and directed three previous short films, including the choose-your-own-adventure slasher HINDSIGHT, set in the ‘90s. She has a deep love for horror that goes beyond jump scares — aiming instead to leave viewers unsettled, thrilled, and thinking long after the credits roll.

This film is a passion project, born from real-life close calls and the question: what if things had gone horribly wrong??
