Bring David Larson Home for Recovery

Let’s get David Larson back home to Virginia!!! About a month ago, on April 4th, 2025, David suffered a serious hemorrhagic stroke at a hotel here in Las Vegas while traveling to the west coast with his son, Erik. David has been at the Sunrise Valley Hospital in Las Vegas since, and while recovering a little more each day, there is still a very long road ahead. He continues to work hard each day in various occupational, speech, and physical therapy sessions with the wonderful staff here at Sunrise Valley. He also continues to express his gratitude and appreciation daily for the outpouring of love and encouragement from his friends and family.
Unfortunately, because this is more of a short-term rehab facility, his time here is coming to an end in about a week, and we have some tough decisions ahead. Our major goal right now is to do what is best for his recovery in the short and long term, and right now we feel that is best accomplished by getting him back to his friends and family in the more familiar surroundings of Virginia. His ability to travel is limited at the moment (and likely for some time to come), so we are looking at a medical transport airplane ride from Las Vegas back to Virginia. Between Medicare and additional supplemental insurance, thankfully most of the major expenses have been covered up to this point. However, the price of the flight is upwards of $35,000 and many more nursing care expenses likely loom ahead. Anything that you can give will go a long way to help him get the best chance at as close to a full recovery as possible. The first 6-12 months are crucial in his recovery efforts, with extensive rehabilitation being the primary focus.
