Bring Damion Home: Support His Recovery

Donation protected
Damion was born way early at 23 weeks unexpectedly while his mom was out of state getting cochlear implant surgery for his older brother, Kylo. Arrangements were made for his mom and older brothers to live in Utah while dad traveled back and forth from their home in Texas to keep his job.

Little Damion has fought so hard to survive, overcoming 3 bacterial infections and 2 skin infections that placed him in septic shock at 1 month old. He was successfully extubated and on his way to recovery in the NICU when, at 3 months old, he caught a UTI that led him back into septic shock, and due to the strain on his lungs, he was reintubated. The decision was made on October 30th to place a tracheostomy and a G-tube to help Damion's lungs heal and hopefully get him home faster!

A couple of weeks ago, plans were made to fly Damion back to Texas to hopefully send him home with his family as soon as he is big enough to get a home ventilator. The nearest children's hospital that could take Damion is 4 hours away from their home, and the Ronald McDonald House is full. Mom and dad have been paying out of pocket for 3 weeks now for a hotel room for mom to stay close to Damion and for the gas to commute back and forth from home. They just found out that Damion most likely will be in the hospital for another 3-4 months.

If you are looking for a family this holiday season that needs help, this family is it! We appreciate any donations!
