My name is Melissa Pearson and I am a single parent to 3 children Beau(11) Cora(5) and Keagan(4). I am looking to raise funds to help me continue paying for my attorney to get primary custodial care of Cora and Keagan who are currently living with my manipulative and controlling ex Matthew in Topeka, KS. After meeting Matt in late 2018, we quickly got engaged and had Cora early 2020. Matthew constantly accused me of cheating and in July 2020 I asked him to leave. We got back together and got pregnant with Keagan and finally got married. Married life was rough. I quit jobs because I couldn’t be around men without being accused of cheating. I took care of all the kids and their needs. I took them along to many doctor appointments of my own. I did all the laundry and household chores. After traveling to Texas for family vacation, Matthew started accusing me of poisoning him and giving myself and beau drugs. He punched holes in our living room wall, punched and broke the tv, threw many items down our basement steps and was totally convinced our house had recording devices and cameras. He had horrible hallucinations. I was unable to get a decent night sleep and my mental health was taking a major hit. I was unable to talk to family or friends about anything so I called 988 for someone to talk to. Matthew is trying to use mental health against me saying I’m unstable to take care of the kids. I filed for divorce and custody in August 2024 after Matthew and I sold our house in Dubuque. We are still waiting on decision as false allegations keep being made against Beau. These allegations take time to investigate and in the meantime takes my younger kids away from Beau and I. I have not seen Cora since June 8,2025 and Keagan is now November 9, 2025. I miss my kids terribly and I am struggling to pay for everything myself. I hate asking for help of any kind but I am asking for you to help me get my kids back.
