Help Bring Consolacion Soriano Home to the Philippines
With sorrowful hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Consolacion Soriano, who died in the United States after suffering a devastating stroke and spending ten months in a coma, connected to life support.
We are humbly asking for your help to fulfill her final wish: to return home and be laid to rest in the Philippines, the country she loved and where her late husband now rests in peace.
A Life of Quiet Strength and Deep Love
Consolacion first came to the U.S. in 2018, not for herself, but to support her daughter’s church wedding after more than a decade apart. Though she cherished her time with family here, her heart was always in the Philippines, where she built her life with her husband, Salvador, and raised her children.
After Salvador passed away in 2019, Consolacion's health began to decline. She returned to the U.S. in December 2021 due to emergency medical needs and began dialysis. Life in a new country, far from her grandchildren and familiar surroundings, was difficult for her. But she stayed strong and even began the process to qualify for a kidney transplant, holding onto hope despite the challenges.
In September 2024, Consolacion suffered a massive stroke that left her unable to speak or move. She remained in a coma, bedridden and on life support for over ten months. Her daughter, Shieryl, became her daily caregiver, visiting after work, often staying overnight, and doing everything possible to bring comfort to her mother in her final months.
Her Final Wish
One of Consolacion’s final wishes was to be laid to rest in the Philippines beside her beloved husband, Salvador. In Filipino tradition, being buried in your homeland is not just a custom—it is a sacred return. For Consolacion, this was deeply personal. She wanted to rest in the place where she built her life, made her happiest memories, and where her remaining family and friends could visit her, light candles, and remember her.
Why We’re Asking for Help
The past year has brought emotional and financial strain. Now, the costs to bring her home are more than the family can manage alone.
We are raising funds to cover:
• The permit to transport her body from the U.S. to the Philippines
• A specialized casket and transport box
• International airfare to Manila, then to Mindanao
• Funeral and burial costs in her hometown
• Estimated total: $15,000
How You Can Help
Whether or not you knew Consolacion personally, we invite you to be part of her story. She was a quiet force of love and generosity. She helped raise her grandchildren, cared deeply for others, and gave everything without asking for anything in return.
Now, her family hopes to give her the peace and dignity she deserves by honoring her final wish to rest beside her husband, in the land that held her heart.
No amount is too small. Every donation helps. Even sharing this campaign can make a difference.
Thank you for helping us bring her home.
