Hello! My name is Michael Ainslee Diaz and I need your help funding my short film. This piece is very close to my heart as it mirrors similar things I have gone through in my life. I want to not only bring awareness to people that struggle with their mental health, but also shine a light on it in a way that is enjoyable and impactful.

'Closer' follows Skylar, a young woman as she navigates the weight of her mental health struggles while trying to maintain a sense of normalcy in her daily life. Despite the support of her boyfriend, Sam, she often feels trapped in a cycle of self-doubt and exhaustion. Her world grows increasingly overwhelming, and an unshakable presence seems to follow her, making even the simplest tasks feel insurmountable. Through patience, vulnerability, and the strength of those who care for her, she takes the first steps towards healing- realizing that while the road ahead won't be easy, she doesn't have to face it alone.

My production team and I are asking for $1,500 that will go towards the making of the film and providing cast and crew with crafty!
