Bring Chiqui Home: Help 70-Year-Old Grandfather Fight Deportation
Alberto “Chiqui” Martinez is 70 years old.
He is a grandfather. A father. A brother. An uncle. A friend. A hardworking man who has lived in the United States since he was 13 years old.
Right now, Chiqui is being detained at the Adelanto ICE Processing Center, facing deportation to Cuba, a country he left as a child and has not called home in nearly six decades.
Our family is asking for your help.
Chiqui has built his entire life here. He has raised children and grandchildren here. He has worked hard for years, most recently doing hair at JC Penney, where clients know him not just for his talent, but for his warmth and kindness. He has always been someone who makes others feel good about themselves.
At 70 years old, he is also dealing with prostate health issues that require ongoing care. Detention at his age is difficult. Deportation would be devastating.
If deported to Cuba, he would be sent to a country where he has no real support system, no established life, and limited access to proper medical care. At his age and in his condition, the outcome could be catastrophic.
We are trying to raise $10,000 to retain an experienced immigration attorney to fight his deportation and pursue every available legal option to keep him here with his family.
All funds will go directly toward:
• Attorney retainer fees
• Legal filings and court costs
• Case preparation and representation
This fundraiser is organized by the Martinez and Cevallos families, who are standing together to bring Chiqui home.
If you cannot donate, please consider sharing. Every share matters. Every dollar matters. Every voice matters.
Chiqui is not just a case number. He is loved. He is needed. He is family.
Please help us fight for him.
