Help Carolyn Moseley Return Home to Eastwick
For more than 20 years, Carolyn Moseley has been the heart of Eastwick. As a tireless advocate for environmental justice and community progress, Carolyn has dedicated her life to helping others.

Now, she needs our help to return to the home and community she loves.
Carolyn’s Legacy in Eastwick
Carolyn’s impact on Eastwick cannot be overstated:
- Champion for Environmental Justice: Carolyn raised over $300,000 to help Eastwick residents recover from Tropical Storm Isaias, designed recovery programs for flood victims, and created awareness that led to solutions for ongoing flooding issues.
- Community Leader: As the founder of the Eastwick Community Network and Consulting Executive Director of Eastwick United CDC, Carolyn brought neighbors and leaders together to create real change.
- Visionary Advocate: She authored the “Vision of Hope,” a transformative plan for Eastwick’s future, and developed a land swap concept to keep residents safe and thriving in their community.
- National Voice: As a HUB Leader for the National Black Environmental Network, Carolyn amplified Eastwick’s concerns to federal and state leaders, gaining resources and attention for environmental and economic challenges.
Carolyn has dedicated her life to making Eastwick stronger, safer, and more resilient. Her work has touched countless lives, but now she needs our support.
Why Carolyn Needs Your Help
In 2023, Carolyn experienced a severe health challenge that has kept her from returning to her Eastwick home. While recovering with family in Delaware County, her home has become uninhabitable due to her medical needs.
To bring Carolyn back home, critical repairs and modifications are required to ensure her health and mobility:
- Replacing flooring to create a medically safe, respiratory-friendly environment.
- Installing accessibility features to ensure mobility and comfort.
- Addressing structural repairs to create a safe, habitable space.
The estimated cost for these initial repairs is $25,000.
Carolyn’s nephew and his husband, who are currently living in her home, have been working on what improvements they can manage themselves. They will also provide full-time care for Carolyn when her home is ready.
