Bring Calliope Home

Hi, I'm Judy Pinaire, Calliope's grandmother.

Our sweet baby was born on 12-30 at 37weeks with breathing problems and is in the NICU. She's currently on a ventilator, sedated, and the hospital is out of town, 3 hours from home.

They expect the baby to be here for weeks, but not sure how many. She has PPHN (Persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn) and it's just a waiting game to see how her oxygen & CO2 levels work themselves out and how long it will take to wean her off the vent and all the meds.

All funds raised will be dispersed to my daughter Katy & her boyfriend Keegan, to help defray expenses both while we are up here and back at home as well.

Katy had to quit work much earlier than she had planned and Keegan lost his job right before Christmas.

I'll be staying up here with Katy, and Keegan will be going home to find a job and get back to work. Once we get home, I expect it will be a while before Katy can think about going back to work.
