Bring Mobile Boba Tea and Jobs to Clarkston, GA

Hi, my name is David Bentley. Up until this year I was working an 8-5 job and as a Husband and Father of 2 young kids on top of travelling regularly I had little to no time left over for serving in my community of Clarkston. I moved to the small town of Clarkston, GA about 6 years ago and my wife and I felt a burden for coming alongside the vulnerable refugee communities that resettled in the US, to help them find helpful, welcoming neighbors, to share hope and the means to bring wholeness to their lives , and to ultimately find a community that would love them like family.

Unfortunately, I saw a lot of brokenness and similarities to communities I previously lived where there was homelessness, addiction, and a lack of purpose. Similarly in Clarkston, many young people are growing up in homes where they are not getting any support to finish high school or go to college.

I saw the need for the community to be lifted up out of spiritual and physical poverty and I began to see business as a way of doing that. I began dreaming of ways to bring my masters in business and my 10 years working for the world's largest beverage company together in a cohesive vision to help my community. And in that, Boba Chia was born. The first mobile bubble tea shop in Clarkston.

I want to start this business to not only make a product I grew up with and love, but to share it with the Clarkston community, so that everyone can enjoy it and to create moments of unity in our community and especially for the growing youth population.

By funding Boba Chia, you will not just fund this vision, but you will fuel the work of teaching, mentoring, and training the next generation of New American Entrepreneurs in Clarkston, bringing help and hope for refugees and immigrants looking to make a new life and contribute to their new community.
