Hi, my name is Paul David-Gough, and for 35 years, I have been an actor, director and acting coach.
I have helped to develop some of the UK's most exciting emerging talent.
Since 2021, opportunities for lesser-known actors in the film and television world have been scarce — to say the least.
Acting is one of those careers where you're constantly waiting for permission to work. Waiting for the right part, the right casting call, the right time — it can feel like you’re stuck waiting for a perfect storm.
This summer, we’ve decided to stop waiting.
I have recruited a group of UK-based actors who’ve taken matters into their own hands by launching our very own independent film: The Outward Bounders - a dark, offbeat British comedy loosely inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Set deep in the woodlands of Kent, this original story follows a group of dysfunctional office workers on a chaotic team-building retreat. As they attempt to mend broken workplace dynamics, they find themselves tangled in a wild web of eco-activists, drug gangs, and oblivious historical re-enactors who accidentally spark an all-out turf war. Think Shakespeare meets "The Office" — with a splash of woodland anarchy!
Every actor involved is also stepping up as an Executive Producer, helping to fund, create, and perform in the project. They're taking creative control of their careers and making something special - a film that showcases emerging and experienced talent alike.
We Need Your Help!
We're filming in August 2025, and while we've already pooled resources to get the cameras rolling, we’re asking for support to help us complete the journey — covering costs for equipment, locations, post-production, and festival submissions.
Once completed, The Outward Bounders will be submitted to film festivals across the UK and internationally, giving the cast and crew a vital opportunity to break into the industry, build connections, and put this madcap British comedy in front of global audiences.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to our goal.
If you love supporting independent artists, comedy, or just want to see something wonderfully weird get made — please consider contributing.
Thank you for helping us bring The Outward Bounders to life.
Let’s make something brilliant, together.
