Brian has made his career as a building inspector, making sure people were safe in their homes. Now is the time to make sure he will be safe in his home.
Two years ago Brian went to work thinking he had an ordinary headache, but unfortunately shorty after arriving at his office his co-worker rushed him to the hospital where he was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. He was immediately airlifted to Lahey Burlington. As the aneurysm was resolved, he is now living with the long-term effects of having a stroke, impairing his abilities for daily life.
After beating the odds, of even survival, Brian has made a remarkable recovery. Now, after two long years in a rehabilitation facility, Brian is ready to come home.
I met Brian when we were both working for the town of North Andover. I was the public health nurse, and he was the Building Inspector. The day I met him, I thought to myself, he seems like a nice guy. Sure enough, I was right. Brian was my go-to guy when one of my elderly patients, with no family in town, had an air conditioner that needed to be put in, fix a door that wouldn't close or a window that wouldn't open. I knew if I bought lunch, Brian was there for me. I also had the distinguished job of picking up dead crows for West Nile Virus. I couldn't quite stomach picking up a large dead bird, but Brian got me through it after the first few. One day it was not only the dead crow, but her nest of babies as well. Brian is not only kind to people, but for anyone that knows him, knows he has a kind gentle spirit with animals as well.
So, now it is time to help out someone who has always jumped first to help others.
