This is Bowen, the sweetest, shortest, and good-est boy around. He also goes by Bowen Arrow (due to the arrow on the back of his head), Bo, Bo Bo Baggins, and Bowee. He's almost 13 years old, a retired therapy dog for a children's reading program, and uses everything as a pillow.
Right now, he needs a lot of medical support and we really want to ensure we can financially meet this goal in order to bring him home to both our family of 4 and to his little sister, fellow Cardigan Welsh Corgi, Arri, who is completely lost without him.
Earlier this week, Bowen was grunting/whining when trying to defecate and after a spiral of medical testing to find out why, he was diagnosed with severe pancreatitis and every time he moved into that curled position, it hurt immensely. It is suspected to be acute on chronic pancreatitis, but only time will tell as we continue to provide supportive care.
He was booked into Tufts Veterinary and Emergency Treatment Services for a starting point of 3 days, but it is suspected that he will need more time. As of the morning of 7/20/2025, the bill is currently $5,843. He has been hospitalized for two nights, has a central line, and is on a constant fentanyl drip for the pain. He is making small improvements, but needs more time. Any funds received go directly to his care.
