Hello everybody,

As some of you may know, this past month, we embarked on the ambitious task of shooting a high-production-value, low-cost, self-funded short film. For those of you who didn't know, we did! The good news is that it turned out fantastic, and we have a really great project that we will be sharing with you soon, and will hopefully be playing at a major film festival near you as well. Like many young creative teams, we had to call in many favors, pull a lot of strings, and use personal resources in order to make our passion project happen.

We're now turning to some of our closest friends and family in the hopes they can help us out. All money raised will go towards paying for costs associated with putting the finishing touches on the film during post-production, paying members of our crew who deferred salary to help us make this happen, and partially repaying the producers who self-financed this (the $8,000 mark we are asking is roughly half of what was invested). All who donate will be credited during the special thanks at the end of the film. Additionally, anybody who donates can opt-in to receive updates throughout the post-production process, this will include trailers, sneak peeks of our favorite moments, and ultimately a link to view the film directly before its world premiere. Fear not, even if we do not hit our goal, the film will be finished and you will all be able to see it, so please give what you feel is fair and within your means. "I spent my youth in one of the most diverse and vibrant cities in the world. I am a Valley kid who spent too much time watching movies and grew up into a filmmaker. Many of my friends were Bohemians who didn't conform to society's expectations. BIRD WORLD is a story I know well; it's a story about my friends, two wonderful and authentic people whose path in life hasn't been conventional. When I met Vlada and Jamaica, I immediately saw mega-watt star power that couldn't be denied. When the opportunity presented itself to make a film starring them, about the circumstances of their real lives, I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Being around these people feels like life is happening to you in the extreme, and I know sharing their story with an audience will be a deeply funny and heartfelt journey. Any contributions that can help us display the story to its fullest potential, and help repay some of my dearest friends whose sacrifices made this all possible, would mean the world to me."
