Helping Danny Kerwin Get Back in the Shop

Many of you know Danny from Bushwhacker. He's not just a Service Manager, he's a repair wizard. There isn't a creak, clunk, or wobble he can't fix. Bikes aren’t just his livelihood, they’re his passion.

Unfortunately, on July 13th, 2024 Danny was seriously injured in a cycling accident. Danny’s life was saved by his helmet and the Garmin devices he was using to track his ride. We were notified he had been in an accident, where it was, and were able to locate him right away.

The good news: he's expected to make a full recovery. The bad news: he won't be able to ride any bikes – or bring his magic touch to yours – for the next 4-6 weeks while he’s recovering.

The doctors have ordered that he take some time off to heal, which means no income during that period. If you know Danny, you know he’s incredibly humble and would never ask for help. That's why we’re setting this up for him.

Danny is an incredible, talented human and deserves assistance during this time. Any contribution you can make would be a huge help in covering medical bills and keeping things afloat while he recovers. If there is anything left over after his bills are covered, it will go a long way toward the physical rehab required to get Danny back on his feet (and hopefully back in the shop) faster. He is also devastated that his favorite bike (a Surly Bridge Club) was significantly damaged in the accident and will need to be repaired or replaced.
