Bring Back Nena's sight

Many of you may not know but our three puppies were all rescued from Gran Canaria. Luna also has another sister “Nena” who still lives in Gran Canaria with a good friend of ours Kevin. They were both found wondering around the mountains 8 or so years ago after being ditched by someone because they did not want them. Luckily Tara (an animal charity) saved them from dying and later both John and I and Kevin would end up with the two sisters.

I wouldn’t normally do this or ask for your support but Nena has lost sight in both of her eyes and many of you that have seen Luna will know that they are ball crazy and usually very bubbly puppies. Nena now sits and stares at walls thinking it’s the door, needs constant supervision by Kevin to ensure she does not hurt herself. She will lie around all day feeling sorry for herself.

Kevin has taken her to the veterinary hospital on Gran Canaria and to restore sight to her will cost in the region of £900 per eye. Kevin is not in a position currently to be able to afford this so John and I were hoping that by doing a mini fundraiser we can get closer to allowing Nena to see again. I think the fact she is Luna’s sister and knowing how crazy she can be it must be horrible for Nena not being able to play as a puppy should.

If you can spare anything, we would all greatly appreciate it! Including Nena! We cannot wait to see how much happier she will be after the operations. As it’s gone so well so far we are going to aim to get both eyes done, this really would mean the world for Kevin and especially Nena! Thank you all so very very much!!!
