Dear Friends and Charitable Donors:
We are reaching out to all our friends and charitable donors to help us raise approximately $4,475 to pay for medical expenses and life threatening surgery for our little dog named Happi who is in severe pain suffering with numerous bladder stones. This surgery is critical and will save her life!
Happi is a service dog who has brought joy to the lives of many seniors, mentally challenged individuals and children. She has recently had trouble urinating and has been discharging blood. Due to restrictions and scheduling delays as a result of COVID-19, it has been challenging to find a reasonably priced veterinarian who could examine Happi in a timely manner. The fees at the emergency pet hospitals are generally two or three times more than the non-emergency charges.
After a preliminary examination of Happi, blood work and an ultrasound, it was determined that Happi has five bladder stones which must quickly be removed. We were fortunate to find a veterinarian at A-Paw Veterinary Hospital and Wellness Center in Lanham, Maryland who was compassionate enough to squeeze Happi in for the necessary surgery which is now scheduled for this week.
We urgently need funds this week to pay for Happi’s office visits, lab work, ultrasound, surgery, hospitalization and wellness care, especially since our business has been closed for 9 months due to COVID-19. (More below picture).
At 7 years old, Happi’s life has been an amazing one which some might call “a miracle.” She was given to us by a breeder of Havanese dogs who planned to otherwise kill her since she was the weak and sickly one in the litter. We took her in and had her examined at a pet hospital only to find out that she was severely ill and was not predicted to survive. With her medical treatments and a lot of love, Happi did survive and later attended the Academy Dog Training by Haywood in Silver Spring, Maryland to become a service dog.
With her love, sweetness and kindness, Happi has won the hearts of children, senior citizens and the mentally challenged, and she serves as the mascot for the America Meditating Radio Show . She brings life to those who feel they have none. Many are so grateful to Happi.
Please help us bring back Happi's smile? We will be eternally grateful for any support that you can provide. The video below details Happi's story! Without your donations this surgery is not possible. May God bless all our charitable donors for your support in saving this beautiful dog's life! We will provide updates to all the contributors on Happi's surgery and recovery!
We appreciate your generosity and thank you again for your support of this urgent situation!
