What were you doing at the age of 25?
May be finishing your college, starting new job or getting married. That is most of us do, I was also doing same. But for Gurpal life was different. Life seemed so unfair when Gurpal Singh was diagnosed with Lymphoma Tumor at the age of 25. That one medical report changed the presence of many, including 2 younger siblings and parents. But the family decided to fight back and went thru a series of gruesome and expensive rounds of Chemotherapy sessions. Life was never the same, but things were getting better every day. Gurpal knew that God had planned something different for him when he met the love of his life Flora Jimenez. This story was no less than any Bollywood movie, they were thousands mile apart on 2 different continents, met online, and decided to get married. Not many (including myself) believed this till the day Flora, knowing all his medical conditions, flew all the way from Cali, Colombia to Mukatsar, Punjab. Their commitment, devotion, and loyalty proved all of us wrong.

Soon they were blessed with little angle Nysha. Gurpal was happy living his life with Flora and Nysha in Cali, Colombia. Working hard to make a living and start a new life in a new country. But that was too normal for Gurpal's life. November 4th, 2019, was just another day for all of us, but for Gurpal, it was the day when he stopped breathing without a ventilator. He has been in the hospital since then, fighting for life, struggling to breathe, and yearning for a glimpse of Nysha and his parents. Turned out that his lungs do not work as hard as he does. Doctors have tried twice to remove the ventilator, but his lungs do not work. Doctors are trying their best, and we all are praying to God.
His parents have already exhausted all their savings but still trying to save their son. Please understand the state of helpless parents sitting thousands of miles away from their bedridden son. There is hope we can bring Gurpal back to his family. Please help raise money for his medical bills and trip back to Mukatsar, Punjab

ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੌਲੇਜ ਦੇ ਅਾਖਰੀ ਸਾਲ ਸਨ, ਜਾਂ ਨਵੀਂ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਸੀ, ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਵਿਅਾਹ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੀ। ਇਹੋ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਣੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਗੁਰਪਾਲ ਵਾਸਤੇ, ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਅਾ, ਉਸਦੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਸੀ। ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਬੇਰਹਿਮ ਬਣ ਗਈ, ਜਦੋਂ 25 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਲਿੰਫੋਮਾ ਟਿਊਮਰ(ਕੈਂਸਰ) ਦੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਚੰਬੜ ਗਈ। ਇਕ ਡਾਕਟਰੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਜਿੰਦਗੀਆਂ ਬਦਲ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ - ਉਹਦੇ ਮਾਪਿਆੰ ਦੀਆੰ, ਉਹਦੇ 2 ਛੋਟੇ ਭੈਣ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ। ਪਰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੇ ਹਿੰਮਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਰੀ, ਕੈਮੋਥੈਰੇਪੀ (ਖੂਨ ਬਦਲੀ) ਦੇ ਮਹਿੰਗੇ ਤੇ ਖਤਰਨਾਕ ਇਲਾਜ ਦੇ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ੈਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਵਾਏ। ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਰਗੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੀ ਪਰ ਦਿਨ-ਬ-ਦਿਨ ਉਹਦੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੁਧਰਦੀ ਰਹੀ। ਗੁਰਪਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਅਾਈ ਕਿ ਰੱਬ ਨੇ ਉਹਦੇ ਲੇਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕੁਝ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਲਿਖਿਅਾ ਹੋਇਅਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਅਾਪਣੀ ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਫਲੋਰਾ ਜਿਮੈਨਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਅਾ। ਇਹ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਕਿਸ ਫ਼ਿਲਮੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਦੋਵੇਂ ਜਾਣੇ ਸੱਤ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਪਾਰ ਹਜਾਰਾਂ ਮੀਲ ਦੂਰ, ਦੋ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਮਹਾਂਦੀਪਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਟ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੇ, ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਹੋਈ, ਤੇ ਵਿਅਾਹ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਅਾ। ਸਾਰਿਆ ਨੇ (ਮੇਰੇ ਸਮੇਤ) ਬਹੁਤਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਫਲੋਰਾ, ਉਹਦੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਜਾਣਦਿਆਂ, ਕੋਲੰਬੀਅਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਕੈਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਜਹਾਜੇ ਬੈਠ ਮੁਕਤਸਰ ਅਾ ਗਈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਹੱਬਤ, ਸ਼ਿੱਦਤ, ਤਿਅਾਗ ਤੇ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਲਤ ਸਾਬਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
"ਵਿਅਾਹ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਈਦਾ, ਜੀਹਦੇ ਨਾਲ਼ ਰਿਹਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ਼ ਜੀਹਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਰਿਹਾ ਨਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।"
ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਉਹਨਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਰੱਬ ਨੇ ਨਿੱਕੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਨਾਇਸ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਬਖਸ਼ੀ। ਗੁਰਪਾਲ ਫਲੋਰਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਇਸ਼ਾ ਨਾਲ਼ ਕੋਲੰਬੀਅਾ ਦੇ ਕੈਲੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿਚ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਜਿਉਣ ਲੱਗਾ। ਨਵੇਂ ਮੁਲਕ ਵਿਚ ਨਵੀਂ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸਖਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਿਅਾ। ਗੁਰਪਾਲ ਦੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਐਨੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਾਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਕੁ ਚਿਰ? 4 ਨਵੰਬਰ 2019 ਸਾਡੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਇਕ ਅਾਮ ਜਿਹਾ ਦਿਨ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਗੁਰਪਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਸਾਹ ਅਾਉਣਾ ਬੰਦ ਹੋ ਗਿਅਾ। ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੈ, ਵੈਂਟੀਲੇਟਰ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ਼ ਸਾਹ ਲੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਇਸ਼ਾ ਤੇ ਅਪਣੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਨਜਰ ਦੇਖਣ ਦੀ ਅਾਸ ਵਿਚ ਅਾਪਣੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਲੜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਵਾਰ ਵੈਂਟੀਲੇਟਰ ਲਾਹੁਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਪਰ ਉਹਦੇ ਫੇਫੜੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਸਮਰਥ ਸਨ। ਡਾਕਟਰ ਅਾਪਣਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਜੋਰ ਲਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਉਹਦੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਅਾਪਣੀ ਸਾਰਾ ਪੈਸਾ ਅਾਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਹਲੇ ਵੀ ਇਲਾਜ ਦਾ ਖਰਚਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾ। ਮੀਲਾਂ ਦੂਰ ਬੈਠੇ ਗੁਰਪਾਲ ਦੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਦਾ ਧਿਅਾਨ ਧਰੋ। ਹਲੇ ਵੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਗੁਰਪਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਦੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ਼ ਮਿਲਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਉਸਦੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਦਾ ਖਰਚਾ ਤੇ ਕੋਲੰਬੀਅਾ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤਸਰ ਤੱਕ ਦੀ ਰਾਹਦਾਰੀ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮਾਇਅਾ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਜਰੂਰ ਪਾਓ।
